Do you want to make a difference for people? We are now looking for a committed and secure colleague for a temporary position of 80% for 6 months, with the possibility of permanent employment. The position is shared between our two operations in Hörnefors and Sörmjöle, with start date according to agreement.

About our operations

Patia operates two collective support and care homes located in coastal environments in Hörnefors and Sörmjöle, about 30 minutes south of Umeå. We offer a drug-free, safe, and calm living environment for adult clients with support needs related to addiction issues, mental health problems, comorbidity, or norm-breaking behavior, sometimes in combination with somatic difficulties. Our operations consist of individual rooms with shared spaces for meals and social activities. We work on behalf of the social services.

About the position

In the role of treatment pedagogue with us, you work closely with clients and adapt support based on each individual's unique circumstances and needs. You have an active role in both the practical everyday life and the change-oriented work. We also have training apartments connected to the operations, where you are responsible for conducting home visits based on the client's care and implementation plan.

Examples of tasks:

• Motivational and supportive conversations.
• Support in contacts with authorities and healthcare providers.
• Social skills training and practical support, e.g., during transport.
• Documentation and record-keeping according to SoL.
• Participation in collaboration meetings.
• Support in ADL.
• Ongoing reporting to social services.

Cooking is included in the position.

Working hours

The position includes daytime, evenings, and weekends, primarily with sleeping on-call.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education (at least two years/400 YH points/SeQF level 6) such as social worker, treatment pedagogue, or social pedagogue.
• At least two years of experience working with the target group (addiction issues, mental health problems, comorbidity).
• Good documentation skills and ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
• Good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL).
• Driver's license (B) is a requirement.

Meritorious: Knowledge in MI (Motivational Interviewing), RP (Relapse Prevention), and/or Crime as a Lifestyle (KSL).

You are attentive and flexible, with a good ability to meet different individuals' needs with respect and commitment. At the same time, you are independent, responsible, and confident in making your own decisions.
